Warning...

I have an old VCR that will record macrovision tapes or DVDs. It plays them back fine. Stick that tape in another VCR (one with macrovison copy protection circuits) and you will still see the effects of macrovision. The Macrovision on the master tape or DVD is recorded onto your old VCR's new tape along with the video and audio signals.

The best solution is to use a COPYMASTER from sima, as mentioned above. It will strip the macrovision from the video signal and not pass it on to the copied tape.
