It has come to my attention that the reason you cannot make a copy of a DVD movie to your VCR is because of a recent copy protection scheme engineered into DVD signals and current VCR's.

I'm interested to learn about the available modifications that will get past this. I'm not wanting to do anything illegal, just make a copy of an occasional DVD for personal use. To me, this is not different from copying a CD to cassette.

Some people have suggested that older VCRs may be perfect if they were made before the copy protection chip was placed in them. I'd appreciate any information on this subject.Please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!
