Morning Mike,
Sounds like you need to configure the "Bass Management" in the player. Daniel will probably have more specific help, since he has a similar situation.
In your set-up, however, unless your player has DTS decoding as well, you'll need an outboard decoder. The Technics SH AC500D would be a good inexpensive choice.
