And I fault the Sony not. I have suggested the Wega to them on the sheer coolness factor of the set.

As to widescreen or P/S, that's not really an issue. Size is the issue. Above 40", it doesn't matter if the masking bars are top & bottom or the sides.

However, on a tube set, that they will be watching mostly broadcast and not pre-recorded material, I think a 4x3 ratio is best for them.
