Dave - Paradigm and Proud
Historic Forum Post
I recently (3 months ago) purchased a pair of 90Ps as my first step in upgrading my pathetic home theater system (sadly based around a Technics AX-6 and 2 20 year old rebuilt speakers).

To put it mildly I could not belive the bass response from these speakers. I had no idea 8" woofers could move that much air. My greatest fear when buying these speakers was the fear of making everything boomy - I hate that. However, even when driven with a junk receiver like I had I was able to set these things up perfectly. Paradigm gives you ample adjustment over the LFE levels with an overall gain on the driven woofers and an additional "boost" if you decide to hook up an extra subwoofer input (RCA connection to each speaker). BELIEVE ME, YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THIS. These speakers provide ample EVEN bass with just straight driven stereo power. I will warn you though that it may take some time to set them up for both music and theater, but once there - they are truly unbelieveable.

The impressed me so much I purchased matching center and surrounds as well as a new Yamaha v2095 receiver. 5K later I have one kick ass sounding home theater system. I know I sound like a frigg'n add for these things but I really do love them. Not only are they quality speakers, but they are made in good old Canada. One thing, they way about 75lbs each and are around 4.5ft tall so bring a trailer if you plan to pick them up.

I want to say one thing - NEVER BUY ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY SPEAKERS WITHOUT HEARING THEM FOR YOURSELF. You are your own best judge!
