Depends on how much you want to spend....I have a Marantz RC5000 and it addressed my single biggest issue...toooooo many remotes....I am not a programmer and have spent some time setting up my remote so my wife (not a programmer) can work our AV system. Programming will take some time, though there are lots of samples to download from here and you are not starting from scratch.

The RC5000 offers a better warranty than the Pronto, though I believe it is more expensive...I strongly recommend it.
