My system was getting a loud buzz for awhile right after AT&T bought out the local TCI folks and started upgrading to digital cable in my area and offering cable WWW access. The intermitent buzzing, mostly at times I myself wanted to get online, led me to believe it was some interference caused by sloppy cable/digital crossover. When my neighbor turned on his cable modem, I got a buzz. A loud complaint to AT&T from myself and several other neighbors got the problem fixed. I don't know what they did, but it took 3 men and a ladder. ;-)
