With new blue ray and other stuff around the corner I was willing to spend $350 for the hdmi mega player. I have two 985's all ready so I am commited to old technoligy for a few years anyway. I was excited to see the new model 995 at a local Best Buy. I grabbed one and zoomed home to check it out. Grabbing a four space shelf and some screws I made a home for it. My Sony amp already has the coax input used so for $15 bucks I picked up a fiber optic splitter made by LKG Industries, Rockford Ill in case you need one, so I could use one fibre amp input for two dvd's. Just don't turn on both dvd's at once. A strange lightning storm erupts from the speakers/amp if both come on at once. No harm though. Sound is perfect though. Perfect! As for the players operation it is just as Dom said. There is a high end $800 Sony 400 mega model not sold at mid level stores for those who want more control features....... Oh well....
