I own a cx-995v.... It has some good points a whole lot of bad.
Some may feel I am being overly hard... But this is the way I see it.

First the good :
1) 400 disks
2) Very nice picture and sound.
3) I was able to bargain and get it for $306
If you are expecting a 4) you are wrong.

Now the bad :
1) HUGE size.
I had to cut the backing of my equipment cabinet to make it fit.
2) When you power up the unit it starts to play a disk.
3) If this is the next Generation Explorer the first must have been designed by the Flintstones.
4) *** This is Big One ***
No place to put a RENTAL !
Forget about leaving the first few slots open.... ( unless you keep a flashlight handy ) I have another "single player" for rentals.
5) I hope you don't mind typing.
The idea of having any dvd player read the disk info is a Joke.
But to be fair this a problem not related to just this unit.
6) The "Jacket Picture" is smaller than a "Playing Card" on a 65" TV
7) The CX-995v can NOT be chained !

=============
With all of that said..... It is Cool to look at a list of 400 DVD's and play any one without getting up.
