The Pioneer Elite and Toshiba were not included,

I was at Cedia also this year.

The Pioneer Elite Pro-1000 was most certainly on display in the HDTV garden, and not far away from the Fujitsu.

Looking at the two, in my opinion, they had about the same resolution. Although the color was much richer and more life-like on the Pioneer.

As far as control goes, the Pioneer Elite has discrete ON and OFF, and discrete INPUT commands, making it easy to automate with something like the Pronto/Marantz
type remote.

But because picture, like sound, is subjective, I recommend you visit a local dealer displaying these products, and make your own educated descision.
