If you take a look at this months Audio and Video Interior magazines they talk about HTBs. They list a whole bunch of them with specs.

What Steve said is a little less true today than yesteryear. This is a growing segment and some of the big boys have come out with htbs. These include Yamaha, Polk, Bose, and even Nagamichi. What is interesting about some of the htbs is that to make the design sleeker, they are levering the amplifier in the subwoofer. That is where you make your connections.
