Alecki I have my home theater devices all controled by old fashion wired remotes, it was the only way for a work around to turn off my Sony Changers which react with my one IR remote. I also use this with my RCA F38310 to turn off the power completely, I don't have cable by choice I just watch my video collection, run the power a few minutes then shut all power down and off.
