Gosh I hope he doesn't have children who may walk under that. I cannot imagine being able to spend thousands on a plasma and not having a couple hundred to spend on a proper mount. Well, it's his house and his choice. I just hope he doesn't suffer bad consequences - the least of which would simply be crash-bang.
