A.G., your qualifications aside, as with most forums, the members do tend to become famaliar with each other, and "newcomers" are usually polite and get to know the regulars. While you may have never jumped in on an old thread before, it has happened here plenty of times before.

There is nothing to gain by being rude or obnoxious, no matter how well versed in the subject matter one is. I'm sure you and I could have some in-depth discussions about AV and acoustics, electronics, electrical theory, and even disagree on some points.

That has absolutely nothing to do with one's social and/or communication skills, and the ability to get along with people, especially strangers. Every society has slightly different "local rules", and it takes a little time to learn them. be as patient with us as you want us to be with you.

Please do continue to contribute, but learn to accept criticizms from those with more, or different, learning experiences than yours, even if (or especially if) that experience is just that they've been here longer than you have. You were a student at some point in time; please don't be to inflexible to keep learning.
