Because they're probably made by some obscure far eastern company, brought to the States and badged.
Here's another make to watch out for.

the fake magazine and order form?
Unless one is in the rip-off business, I doubt one will ever truly know how it's organised. Rest assured though that the web sites, along with the magazine ads, are all part of the ploy to convince the unwitting punter that they're getting more than they really are.
