The code you posted here is Device Code 1, Function Code 0x2F or 47 decimal which IS the code for Power Off. If your unit does not accept it, there is a workaround. Use the discrete On code for Power on and use Power Toggle for Off.

Here's a link to see all potential function codes for Sony TVs. Just because a code is listed does not mean it will work.
