It has been my experience that pretty much any of them will work for most products. The fact that this is a newer product makes me think that I would either go for an NG product because newer products MIGHT be more likely to work newer products if there has been any evolution of IR codes, or for a TS1000 because it will be a cheaper loss if it does not work.

Either way it is only a slight gamble. These remotes seem to do pretty much everything except for the tiny fraction (of a fraction of one percent) of the products out there that have no IR carrier or have IR carrier frequencies higher than the remotes can handle.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
