Hi there,
Just spotted this thread and as we have just bought a couple of Varilight remote dimmer switches I thought I would throw in my experience. We have a double dimmer and a single dimmer and found them to be excellent value for money. They do seem to be a bit sensitive to certain codes and I had to do quite a bit of trial and error before I found a couple of codes that worked perfectly..we don't even have to point the Pronto at the swicthes to get them to switch on and off and dim up and down.
Some codes didn't work at all.. others seem seemed to work every other tap of the button which was no good.
So here are the two codes I have found to work:

5000 0072 0000 0001 0000 0032

0000 006b 0000 000f 0006 00ec 0006 0036 0006 0036 0006 0036 0006 0076 0006 0036 0006 0076 0006 0036 0006 0036 0006 0036 0006 0076 0006 0036 0006 0036 0006 00eb 0006 0856

If you only have a single dimmer, copy and paste the first code into your button as it is probably the cleanest.

While I realise that the second longer code does seem to contain a bit of repetition, it works which is the main thing!

When teaching the dimmer to learn the code from the Pronto, I can't remember whether I just tapped the Pronto button or held it until the light flashed. If you tap and it doesn't work, try holding it until the light flashes.

Hope it works for you
