Brian,
Your post is confusing, but i think you want Samsung TV codes to use the the rca universal remote that came with your 420 rca sat receiver.
IF so, press and hold the "TV" button down, while you punch in the following codes. Turn the tv on, and press "power" to see if the inputted code is the right one: 1004,1005,1006,1012,1015,1019,1104,1105,1106,1171, and 1172
