I don't think this will work for the PV500. This is one way to select 'Component'.
(a) Press TV/AV (only if you are in TV mode - first problem) (b) Press Blue Button (for Next set of inputs) (c) Press Yellow button (for comp/pc/hdmi) (d) Press Yellow for component
The problem is the TV tries to be clever and remember last setting so the sequence is different depending on what state the TV is current in.
For example if you are already watching an AV input (say SACRT 1) then pressing TV\AV will send you to the terrestial tuner.
Or if you were last watching 'component' but are now watching TV, pressing TV\AV will take you direct to 'Component'.
Unfortunately everything is done with toggles, scrolls and the coloured buttons - what they do is context sensitive so I have not been able to find a sequence guaranteed to end up setting 'Component' as the input.
I haven't bought the set yet, just playing in the stores, but this is so important to me I am now considering buying a Hitachi 7200 instead.
