Thanks - that's what I had tried, and it LOOKED like it was working (got the double flash after hitting the key-to-be-erased the second time at the end of the sequence), but somehow it doesn't clear it - the key still works in its old mode, and I still have no free space (after "erasing" 10 keys). My sequence (with flashes) actually looked like:
device,p* **,9*7*6**,key*,key**
Could it be that I have to hit P** again at the end of each "erasure"?
