Programming my new RS15-1994 to control my TV, AV receiver, sat receiver, VCR, and laser disk player was pretty straightforward. I had to reprogram the CD button to VCR before entering the laser disk code in order to use the CD button to control the laser disk, but the 1994 accepted the codes in each case. Although I haven't given up yet, I have been having difficulty programming the 1994 to accept the code for my Pioneer 414 DVD
player, though. I understand that DVDs use the same codes as laser disk players and thus would also need to be operated with the 1994's VCR button, so that I would need to reprogram the remaining AUX2 button to VCR. I've been trying that without luck so far. Is it possible to reassign the VCR button functions to more than one other button (ie., to both CD and AUX2)? So far no luck....
