Can someone confirm whether this remote will work with the IR -> X-10 controller sold by smarthome.com? Does Radio Shack sell a similar model?

Essentially I want to control & dim two lamps behind my entertainment unit with this 15-1994 remote. What all will I need to do this?

By the way, is X-10 and Plug N' Power the same thing, just different names?
