I have not found a way to get the volume punch through to work with the receiver. I would LOVE it if someone could tell me a way to do it. PLEASE!!!

And yes, it does eat some memory. But, I haven't had to "learn" a lot of commands so I have enough memory left over that this hasn't been a problem for me....yet. If you are hitting the limits on the two memory areas on the "learning" Cinema 6, then you will probably have a problem getting the 15-1994 set up identical to the Cinema 6. I have also noticed that there are some keys that were pre-programmed on the Cinema7 but are not pre-programmed on the 15-1994. But they weren't high use keys and I don't remember exactly what they were. This also may be specific to my brand of equipment.

P.S. I have verified that the memory limits on the 15-1994 are identical to the learning Cinema7.
