I was all excited about this remote after reading Andre's comments so I went yesterday to look at one. I looked at the manual to see if my DVD player was listed and there was not even a mention of DVD anywhere in the manual. How could such a new remote not even have the words DVD in it let alone the codes. I got the RS phone # from the manual and called today. The tech was pleasant but said it would not handle DVD players and I would need the older 1925 or 1918 that I could call in and get the code. She said this on this new one I could not call and get a code because it did not accept codes. Can this be right? If so which $100 or less remote would be a good choice. I mainly want something easy to setup and use. My new DVD is the Hitachi DVP 250U.
