I recently took the advice of the forum goers here and purchased a MX-500. I went through Bluedo.com. When I got the remote it wouldn't get passed the testing screen. after re-reading the manual I tried again. The next day I called URC. The guy told me that the RAM was empty and needed to be flashed. Does this indicate that the remote is broken, or..... is it that they for got to flash the codes in the first place and the remote is not "broken". Has anyone else had anything like this happen. I'm worried that if it is truly defective, it might become a chronic problem. Bluedo actually agreed to pay for my shipping to URC after writing a few "unsatisfied customer" e-mails. So BIG props go to them. Thanks Dave (the customer service guy)
