I've had the same problem and Winbook's technical line was no help. I have been obliged to press the EXIT key after any use of the TV's remote, so that the next non-TV remote use is not mistaken for a command to the TV.
Winbook told me that its remote functions are similar to Tatung's, but most of my other components' remotes, even with Tatung codes, won't control the TV. The only way my universal remote could do it was by using the learning mode.
Winbook said that they had received only one other call about this "phantom" command problem, and that they were not currently working on a fix.
