Frank, i currently own a older oppo with component out and its quite good. I think you can tell by he responses here and in other threads that HDMI is a problem child to say the least. My experiance with it hasnt been good. Id avoid it if you can. You wont see a difference . I wont buy a HD player untill prices drop to the 2 to 3 hundred level!
