I have a Time Warner Synergy V RC-U62CP-1.12S remote. I need a code for a Sony Trinitron TV.
We found the answer!
The DVR has to be OFF.
The code was 020, which was in the book. The TV would not react to the code unless the DVR was off.
The automatic search would not work while the DVR was on, although it did find the DVD player. We did not try to auto search for the TV after we got it working, so we don't know if auto search would find the TV with the DVR off.
We held the remote close to the TV's left grille, which may or may not mean anything.
