I have the Philips Universal Remote and all of
a sudden i can not change channels or anything
with the remote control. The little red light
on the top left of the remote blinks every time
i push a button but there is no response on the
tv. Does anyone have any idea of what i need
to do to get this thing to work again? Please
help. Thanks.

Chris

BTW this appears to be model PM335 (no help in the batttery compartment, here !)

I had the same problem. After going nuts. I found the manual.
First , you can try what I used (which was pretty fast): see link
to print out the guide online (pdf) to relieve your frustrations after these 4 steps.

--manually turn on device to be controlled (tv, dvd, etc)
1. Press and Hold code search until the red led stays lit. Release code search button.
2. Press unit you wish to program (vcr/dvd, tv, sat/ cab)
LED will remain lit.
3. Press channel up/ down one at a time (up to 300 times), until the device to be controlled changes channels.
4. press mute to save the entry.

note: if device does not have a channel up button, use play (vcr only) or power instead. Code search starts from the currently stored three digit number under that mode.

download the whole manual:
[Link: pacemso.com]

-my remote doesn't look like the PM335 searched on google or the one in the manual in the preceding link (mine --it looks like this [Link: acsoutlet.com] button model

The manual above however corresponds in text (for the most part) to my manual.

The PM 335 appears to have a couple of issuances.

The first is black and stubby with numbered outline letters, [Link: mysimon.com]

the second is platinum with elongate look, and has 2 sets of the four arrow keys.([Link: efunctional.com]).

The third is the big button type with blue buttons, white numbers and only one set of the arrow keys. (see link aforementioned)

After this experience, I'm pleased to share this number with you,
Philips cust. svc,"if you need help with setup, please call:
(919) 573-7854"
