I have the SystemLINK4 Universal Remote with 2 AAA batteries. I was able to program my toshiba DVD player successfully.

1. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red LED lights up.
2. Press the DVD Button
3. Press the VCR Button
4. Enter in 167
5. DONE
