Daniel, thank you for the response. I've tried three power supplies now and all have same effect, all 12v, positive centre. One 300mA, one 500mA(quoted rating by Philips help desk here in Europe) and one 1200mA. Lights are 'dim' and do not change whether I plug TSU6000 into base or not. I looked at the connectors with a magnifying glass and they look ok. I also gently rubbed them with an eraser to clean to no avail.

I wonder if the battery has had it and wont hold a charge?
