It runs a JVC HR-XVC3OU and I am trying to get it to run my Philips Magnavox television as my remote for it is broken. I have tried the previous recommendation to, with the tv off, and the upper left hand button switched to the tv position, held in power and pressed 02 which is the magnavox code and it still won't work my tv.

Is there something I am missing? Technology bites the big one.....
