The signal must be learned. And yes, it can't learn the signal from the original remote as it includes other commands such as TV power on, change TV input etc.

However, the AV2000 has input switching signals built-in to the AMP mode that ONLY switch the receiver's inputs. My solution was to program these to my receiver's learning remote, then back to the AV2000. :-)
