Thanks to Ron and all who provide updates.
I used the STR-DG1000 procedure on my new STR-DA3200ES
(RM-AAL003) and it worked perfectly. I was then able
to program my AV-3000 to control everything.

The procedure is in the owner's manual (page 40), but
I had overlooked it several times.
A quick search here fixed me right up.
