We are just about to incorporporate the Pronto into our home theater automation package. It consists of a smartlinc houselinc(pc programable), an IR/X-10 receiver, and the Pronto. It's really very reliable. The Houselinc has probes to monitor the absolute state of the equipment and is in "charge" of power commands. The Pronto sends the macro to the IR to X-10 translator which is then passed to the houselinc for logic state verification and subsequent firing of the IR code, if it should be fired based on the equipment state. Of course we also control lighting and many other things via the houselinc. You may be interested to know that at least one other touchscreen provider is looking at houselinc probes to monitor equipment power status in their systems for the same reason. There are a few mfrs that have released their explicit codes (if they exist) but most won't admit that they exist, even if they do. I hope this helps.
