The idea of creating two macros, one to turn on and another to turn off sounds like a solution but I do not think it will work. If you need three components on to watch a DVD (receiver, DVD player, and TV) and one of these three is already on (lets say the receiver), as soon as you start the macro to watch a DVD, the DVD player and TV will turn on but the receiver will turn off.

What I think these devices need is seperate IR codes for on and off. I do not think they have this, just a toggle to turn them on when off and off when on.
