Hi Jack!

Well, the Pronto didn't tell me it was an RC-5 code, and Faroudja hadn't told me what the codes were--only that they were using RC-5. The tech I talked to said that they'd encountered my exact problem before, and he himself had to experiment and document the sequence to teach other universal remotes using Faroudja's. He is hoping to get his hands on a Pronto soon to try this for himself.

As for the repeating the signal via duping, the point is not to cluter up the macro sequence with 15 vol+ for example, that you'd have to scroll through. Plus the real control comes if we could control the LENGTH of time a signal is transmited.

One problem right now is figuring out why the X10 IR controls for dim/brighten won't repeat, and is difficult to teach.

Either way, it sounds like the software will do a lot. I wonder how everyone's going to get the special serial cable required?

George: Great idea with the "dual" macros!
