As I recall, with mine the 'Out of Memory'
message came up on it's own first. I was still able to use the unit for normal function, ie.
operating keypads & macros etc. Until I tried
to resume some sort of memory intensive action
such as deleting/modifying macros/keys/labels,
it would not let me and came up with the
'clear memory' yes or no. I think the very fact
that it gives you a choice implies the Pronto
can operate in this state, but as soon as you try and change it's setup in some way, it must first free up memory. Just try and delete a key and
it should come up with said prompt.
