Hi Mike,
Based on your description it sounds like you created a "Device" for your MD player. Pronto lets you create devices with or without the standard (RC-5/6) IR codes. If you created the device without the standard codes, Pronto will only display buttons for which it has learned IR codes from the OEM remote. Hence, until you teach Pronto the new codes, no buttons will be displayed.
