I have a couple of WattBox units that were installed by another dealer and when the system was dismantled due to the owner going into other living arrangements and didn't need it, I got them from the dealer who dismantled everything. I called Snap and they told me they don't recommission these because of the possibility that if an installer who has access leaves an employer and wants to cause problems, they could. I still need to contact the installing dealer to have them release it, but I'm in no hurry.

You can recommission a watt box if you have a hub. A control4 controller works as a hub if it’s updated. There’s a guide on snaps site that walks you through it. You need to login into the hubs web server and have it do a network scan and delete all devices on the network off of ovrc. Then you would be able to readd any device back into another ovrc account. Had to do it at an install I had where old clients left all the old equipment and I had to recommission it onto my account.
