I'm not saying you SHOULD use this mount, but in theory you could. Since it reaches 40", you could mount it on the side wall and still get enough stretch to mount the TV at a 45 in the corner. That's a lot of torque though! Depends on how heavy that TV is.

Probably better to frame some support but if you feel like rolling the dice:
