I finally was able to find a code to work with a charter remote and a 55 in hisense roku tv...

Pace Cable Box: 01982
OK/Select Code: 00231
The KEY for me was suggested up above for programming the OK/SELECT code - make sure tv is off while programming.
"Make sure when you test that the TV is in the appropriate initial state. For example, to find discrete on, your TV will need to be off before you try the code. So it may require a few passes to fully test each code"
You might think of new remote like the Walmart Onn universal 6, it take advanced codes like what posted in this thread.
