Appreciate any info on this in my home system. I recently changed out my Xfinity cable box for their 4k dvr version. Nothing else in the system changed (Denon AVR, older Bose 5.1 - sorry about that.) Now, for the first time, many cable channels have almost no center channel sound. There is a tiny low level signal there, but everything else comes through the front sides, making dialog weird at best. I haven't worked out yet if it is channel or perhaps show specific. This happens with both the Auto detect and Expert audio settings on the dvr... on those occasions, I have to go in and select the Stereo setting instead to get reasonable audio. Streaming sources through Apple TV are not affected. Is this a known thing? Am I doing something dumb? Is there a fix? Grateful for any advice from the pros.
