When it worked, it works GREAT! I had this HR24, see, that was pretty good. Then over time it developed several problems. So I got a replacement HR24 from DirecTV. I used the same remotes with them. For convenience, I had three remotes, all set to RF control the HR24, IR control the Yamaha RX-A880, Apple TV, and 65" LG TV.

Problems? Again, the recent replacement works just the same as the old one (that I had had for at least five years). Scrolling up and down through any menu, it would skip one to four settings. Skipping ahead in the program, three or four button pushes would make it go all the way to the end. Attempting to skip forward over the ads in a recorded program, it would very often jump to the end of the program. The only way to avoid that is to push the buttons slowly.

I know there's a way to skip 15 minutes at a time, either forward or back, with a few button pushes, and that doesn't work reliably any more, either.

Anybody else experience this with the HR24?

(I just remembered that the old HR24 also would stop in the middle of playback or record, too.)
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
