I just bought a JVC LT58EC3508 TV and have been unable to program my Amazon Fire Stick remote to control it (on/off, volume, etc.) I've been able to do so with other TVs easily so this is very frustrating. I've tried the equipment control wizard a few times to no avail and tried inputting many codes I found via Google Search as well. As far as I can tell, this is because "JVC" is just branding and the actual manufacturer (and, as a result, the IR codes) varies from model to model.
The remote which came with the TV is model RM-C3731, if that's of any help.
Is there some sort of device I can use to capture the IR code sent by the remote? I know some universal remotes have a learn feature so this is possible in some form. However, I'm not sure how standard these codes are.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am desperate to get back to the luxury of a single remote!
