The Samsung and LG TVs that I have dealt with might only come with an RF remote but the TVs themselves still have IR sensors and still respond to IR codes from other remotes. Just did a brand new LG OLED yesterday and it responded to the old Spectrum-Charter remote that is IR only. YMMV.
