Has anybody came across the number pad not working until you hit guide or channel +/-?

The toggle bits work on the iphone and t2x for a couple of minutes, but eventually they stop working on the number pad until you press guide or channel +/-, then the number pad will work.

When the issue is present, the processor is sending the commands, and the cable box LEDs flash indicating its receiving a signal. Wondering if that is how its supposed to operate or if anyone has come across that. Customer states that until we gave her a loaner processor until her original one comes back from repair, then the issues started, but all 4 of her IPN330HD boxes have the same problem.
