Well, if you can get it to connect to CCP then that would work too.
I had a like new MX6000 last year a customer gave me. I tried everything I could to get it to connect and it just wouldn't. A few of those tricks I tried came from here at RC.
In the end, it seemed the only way to get it to work was using an old version of Windows and I no longer have access to anything like that. So I tossed it (made me sad).
Come to think of it, doesn't the MX5000 have the same connection issues (needing a certain version of Windows, Sync, or something)?
I don't know. I will go back 10 years in a time machine, and then from that point try to remember back :-/
