Not entirely a fair comparison. Automotive deaths are the reason we now have Federally mandated Seat belts, Airbags, Backup cameras, soft surface interiors, Side impact bars etc, all designed to reduce traffic related deaths.
Yet if we eliminated vehicles, we would have zero?
We allow many things in our daily life that attribute to a death count.
